The Circuit Court recently Ordered [ Order Allowing Additional Time to Receive Settlement Payments filed January 27, 2012 ] that certain direct payments be made to Class Members who had previously been remediated by AmeriGas during the years 2001 through and including 2005.  If your propane system was repaired or replaced during that time frame, you should receive a letter from Ed Gentle, the Claims Administrator appointed by the Court, asking you for your Social Security Number so that you can receive a $1,000.00 payment from this Class settlement.  Your Social Security Number, or your Tax Identification Number if it is a business, is required by the IRS before any payment over $600.00 can be made to you so please complete the Form requesting this information and send it to the Claims Administrator so you can receive your $1,000.00 check. 

The Court also Ordered that those Class Members whose propane systems are still in need of repair can have one last time to file a Claim Form to seek payment of $2,000.00,  part of which will be used to repair your propane system, with any remaining monies being paid to the Class Member for damages.  This Claim Form will be sent to those Class Members in this Category, so if you receive one, please complete it to receive a payment under this settlement as your failure to do so may result in your forfeiting forever your right to receive such settlement payment.
